What just happened? (GVG Monthly Game)
So, I was watching the second match in the GvG monthly between #1 and #6 (Now #7) and while it started out with normal GvG happenings, some flag running and stuff, I noticed that the blue team (#1) didn't seem to be really trying very hard! For that matter, neither was the red team!
From time to time, I'd see a few from either side just standing around but the game progressed until about 12-15 minutes in. At this point several members of the blue just started standing around or in the case of their necro, sacrificing itself to death over and over. Eventually, both teams were just standing around with one bout of fighting for less than 2 minutes until the 25 minute mark, when the red team just suddenly resigned and it was over. Was this game-throwing? I've never watched the red team play before, but I've seen this particular blue team and have seen them play well so it seemed odd enough to cause some side-eye. I haven't had much to do with pvp since before Factions so maybe something has changed between then and now but this did not seem very competitive for a monthly championship game. Enlighten me! I didn't watch that particular match all the way to the end because blue was clearly winning right from the start so I may not be right. Looking at both teams builds, I don't see how the necro could sac itself to death (unless spamming death pact on someone or running solo into the opponent). It could be possible that your client was out of sync with the server as that would have caused obs mode to go crazy.
Or the match was just thrown . . . but someone would have pointed that out ages ago if that was the case. I seriously doubt the match would have been thrown after what happened in January 2009, especially for something that would be on obs for 1 week. |

Observer mode gets bugged after updates. I wouldn't take it seriously.

I've seen replays of my own guild's matches run into the twilight zone a couple of times (so I knew what happened in the original match and I knew for certain that this was not what obs mode was showing). Apparently there is bug in the observer mode, but I'm not sure what triggers it.

Signet of suffering is what I'd seen him cast over and over and over.
I watched the match three-four times too and from different player perspectives. It was the same every time. o.O |
